The Tasmanian Devil is a highly distinctive marsupial found only on the island of Tasmania, Australia. This distinctive creature is recognised by its squat build, black colouring, loud screeches and reputedly bad temper. Although only the size of a small dog, it can sound and look incredibly fierce.
Now listed as endangered, this unique creature is nocturnal and sleeps during the day.
This stunning series will feature eight coins in total, with two new coins released each year.
Previous releases: The Koala, The Wombat, The Kangaroo and The Pygmy Possum.
Forthcoming release: The Masked Owl.
