The didgeridoo is a long, wooden wind instrument made from a hollow branch that has been traditionally used by the Aboriginal people of northern Australia. The haunting tones are created by the vibrating of the player's lips. Since every branch has its own unique shape, no two didgeridoos sound exactly alike. The composition it creates can be very powerful, with players and listeners often describing it as calming and meditative.
