The Yellow-billed Kingfisher coin’s reverse depicts an irresistible image of a Yellow-billed Kingfisher perched on a branch. The design also features the inscription YELLOW-BILLED KINGFISHER SYMA TOROTORO.
The Green Catbird coin’s reverse depicts an image of a Green Catbird perched on a branch. The design also features the inscription GREEN CATBIRD AILUROEDUS CRASSIROSTRIS.
The Australian Shelduck coin’s reverse depicts an image of a Shelduck walking through a lake environment. The design also features the inscription AUSTRALIAN SHELDUCK TADORNA TADORNOIDES.
The Striated Pardalote coin’s reverse depicts an image of a Striated Pardalote perched on a tree branch. The design also features the inscription STRIATED PARDALOTE PARDALOTUS STRIATUS.
Each of the four coin designs include the monetary denomination of $1.
Tuvalu Legal Tender Coins
Each coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu. Each coin’s obverse portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2013 year-date.
Four Official Australia Post Stamps
Each coin is housed in a beautifully designed envelope which displays an official Australia Post stamp. The Yellow-billed Kingfisher includes a $3.00 stamp, the Green Catbird features a 55c stamp, the Shelduck includes a $1.65 stamp and the Striated Pardalote features a $3.00 stamp. The envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity and official release number and each stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue.
