The majority of koalas can be found in eastern Australia, where the eucalyptus trees they habitat and feed off are most plentiful. Each animal eats approximately one kilogram of leaves a day, which is a tremendous amount for its size. Although koalas do drink water when they are unwell or in a life threating situation, they usually obtain most of the moisture they need from eucalyptus leaves.
