Gilded Year of the Ox Design
The coin's reverse depicts an ox and a calf standing on grass with hills in the
background. Both animals are gilded in 24-carat gold. As well as the inscription ‘Year of
the Ox’ and the Chinese character for ‘ox’, the design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin features
the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 50,000 of these 1oz Gilded Edition coins
celebrating the 2009 Year of the Ox.

Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, the coin is housed in a
contemporary red and black display case and illustrated shipper.
