The Rainbow Lorikeet is unmistakable with its bright red beak and colourful plumage, and is often seen in loud and fast-moving flocks at dusk.
This vivid bird occupies habitats in the coastal regions across northern and eastern Australia, with a local population in Perth, Western Australia.

The Rainbow Lorikeet coin is struck from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin’s reverse portrays a Rainbow Lorikeet in colour, headed by the inscription RAINBOW LORIKEET. As well as The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the design also includes representations of Australian vegetation.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination.
Beautiful Packaging and Numbered Certificate
The coin is housed in a presentation case with a themed, customised shipper and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
