The Perth Mint has released a stunning 1oz silver coin to commemorate the 175th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s Coronation. The second longest reigning British monarch, Queen Victoria ruled over the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland for more than six decades.

Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the year-date and the monetary denomination.
Stunning Coloured Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse depicts a coloured portrait of Queen Victoria at her Coronation by Sir George Hayter, which forms part of the prestigious Royal Collection. An image of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Crown, the inscription QUEEN VICTORIA 175TH ANNIVERSARY OF CORONATION and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.
The coin is housed in a classic display case within a superbly illustrated shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
To commemorate this anniversary, The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of these Queen Victoria 175th Anniversary of Coronation 2013 1oz Silver Proof Coins in this packaging from a maximum mintage of 7,500.
