Story

Christmas tradition

The cherished story of The Elf on the Shelf® follows Scout Elves who visit family homes before Christmas, reporting to Santa at the North Pole each night before returning to their household. Hugely popular, the book has inspired delightful games of hide-and-seek as children hunt for newly returned Elves each morning.  

Australian legal tender coin

Struck from aluminium bronze, the Australian coin portrays a coloured representation of a Scout Elf in Christmas attire. Included in the design is the inscription ‘The Elf on the Shelf®’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Illustrated presentation envelope

The coin comes in an illustrated envelope portraying an Elf emerging from the letter ‘o’ in the word ‘Joy’. The envelope also features Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.

Official Australia Post stamp

The Australia Post 65c commemorative stamp affixed to the envelope is stamped with a special Elf on the Shelf® postmark including the words ‘6 DECEMBER 2022 MERRYLANDS NSW 2160’.
