Coloured coin

Issued as Australian legal tender, the aluminium bronze coloured coin portrays a cute koala snuggling inside a Christmas stocking with representations of native flora in the background. Also in the design is the inscription ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS 2024’ and a ‘P125’ mintmark signifying The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary. The coin’s obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III.

Illustrated envelope and official stamp

The superbly illustrated envelope features a $3 and two 65c Australia Post stamps, depicting a kookaburra, kangaroo and koala in festive attire. Representing wattle, the commemorative postmark includes the words ‘First day of issue 1 November 2024 Merrylands NSW 2160’.
