Story

Terrific tiger

Marking a range of popular anniversaries, events and themes, commemorative Stamp and Coin Covers combine a Perth Mint one dollar coin and one or more Australia Post stamps on a superbly illustrated envelope. This 2022 Lunar New Year of the Tiger release is postmarked ‘First Day of Issue 6 January 2022 Christmas Island WA 6798’.

Lunar tiger design

The coin portrays a protective tiger leading its cub through ferns and bamboo in a rocky terrain. Also included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘tiger’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
