Forecourt & Rose Garden
With the Federation Romanesque facade of our heritage listed building providing a spectacular backdrop, the Mint’s forecourt and lawns are surrounded by manicured beds featuring gorgeous rose and other blooms in season.
Capacity: 350 for a cocktail reception or 200 for a seated dinner suitable for a range of marquee options.

Foyer & Shop
Ideal for a networking function, the foyer & shop allow for the free-flow of guests through five notable rooms within the Mint. Blending colonial features and contemporary furnishings, these spaces also offer inspiring displays of Western Australia’s natural precious treasures and a selection of stunning gifts.
Capacity: 150 for a cocktail reception.

Courtyard Garden & Veranda
With native flora and shade sails, the courtyard garden & veranda is a hidden oasis enclosed by turn-of-the-century edifices. A corrugated iron and canvas installation offering insights into the life of early gold prospectors adds to the historical ambiance of this secluded setting.
Capacity: 50 for a cocktail reception or 40 for a seated dinner.

Mesmerising quantities of gold were once piled high behind the solid vault door in the Gold Exhibition, a unique complex of spaces which now house remarkable displays including our record breaking One Tonne Gold Coin, famous natural nuggets and historic Australian coins.
Capacity: 100 for a cocktail reception

Previously used for smelting, refining and casting gold, the Melting House was the Mint’s original refinery. Today it offers many clues to its industrial ancestry, with gantries, flywheels and exposed brickwork said to be ingrained with residues of gold from 90 years of operations.
Capacity: auditorium-style seating for 75 attendees or dining for 40.

Optional extra - personalised medallions
Additionally, a personalised medallion can be created as a special memento for each guest attending your event. Available in a choice of pure gold, pure silver, gold-plated or aluminium bronze, personalised medallions are inscribed with your company logo or a personal message on one side, and a depiction of the historic Mint on the other.
