Please note The Perth Mint will be Closed this Sunday (17th January 2021) and Australia Day (Tuesday 26 January 2021).

With the further easing of WA’s COVID-19 restrictions, The Perth Mint is pleased to advise changes to its Shop, Exhibition and Bullion operating hours.


Open daily from 9am to 5pm*.

Closed this Sunday (17th January 2021) and Australia Day (Tuesday 26 January 2021).


The Gold Exhibition tour will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm*.

Bullion Trading

Bullion trading available weekdays only (Closed Australia Day Tuesday 26 January 2021)*.

The Perth Mint will continue to buy unwanted gold during The Perth Mint Shop opening hours.


To minimise risk to the public and its staff, and to safeguard its essential production services, the Mint wishes to advise that the following precautions will continue to be enforced:

  • Temperature testing for all visitors
  • Social distancing of 1.5m between patrons at all times

  • Meet The Jewelled Tiger

WA Day

Setting little hearts alight with fun and laughter, Pan for Gold with The Perth Mint was at Burswood Park on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 June for the WA Day Festival to celebrate our golden State.

This free activity took young explorers on a mission of discovery as they sift through dry sand to find hidden treasures just as the generations did before them during WA's gold rush era. More info

The Australian Trilogy

Our 118th Birthday

This year we are celebrating our 118th birthday.

The Perth Mint Gallipoli Run

The Perth Mint is delighted to be the principal sponsor of the 2017 Gallipoli Run, hosted by Athletics Western Australia (Athletics WA). First held in Perth in 2003, the event encourages the Western Australian community to walk or run the four or eight kilometre course in honour of the Anzacs, celebrating the spirit of mateship and camaraderie which remains their legacy.
