The King

Passionate about many things, including the arts, architecture, and supporting disadvantaged young people, he is also an ardent campaigner on environmental issues, with his philosophy on sustainability revolving around the principle that it is better to work with nature than to work against it.

Nature design

In recognition of his love of nature, this birthday piece features the King’s royal cypher and the number 75 framed within oak leaves and delphiniums. Personally approved by The King, Dan Thorne’s design includes insects and the inscription ‘HIS MAJESTY KING CHARLES III 1948 2003’ A second inscription, ‘RESTORING HARMONY WITH NATURE’, appears on the coin’s edge.
