Story

Double phoenix

According to traditional Chinese culture, the magnificent imagery of two phoenixes appearing together paints a powerful symbol of harmony and unity, epitomising the proverb that 'good things come in pairs'.

Coloured design

The coin portrays two crested birds in vivid colour, gazing at one another with affection. Often referred to as 'Luan and Feng' or 'Phoenix', these figures represent the harmonious love between spouses. Included in the design is the Chinese symbol for 'souble happiness', stylised representations of clouds, along with the 2025 year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
