Merry Christmas!

Struck by The Perth Mint from aluminium bronze, the coin portrays an imaginary scene featuring a red letterbox with Santa’s initials and Christmas post. Including stylised impressions of snow, Australian wattle, and fairy lights, the artistry incorporates the inscription ‘Merry Christmas’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Memorial Obverse

This coin portrays the official Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign – ‘1952 – 2022’.

Festive stamps

Two official Australia Post 65c stamps feature a Christmas tree and a child’s letter to Santa. A special postmark from ‘MERRYLANDS NSW 2160’ includes the words ‘FIRST DAY OF ISSUE 1 NOVEMBER 2023’ and ‘Merry Christmas’ in a script font.

Illustrated envelope

The brightly illustrated envelope displays more Christmas symbols, including baubles and traditional mail. Also included on the envelope is Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
