Stranger Things

Hold onto your butts brochachos, The Perth Mint is flipping the world upside down with the launch of officially licenced Stranger Things legal tender coins.

Inspired by the hit Netflix series created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things became a global pop culture phenomenon following its debut in 2016.

With more than 70 awards and a fandom that’s louder than a Squawk Radio broadcast,
the series has brought back everything from Eggo waffles to New Coke, and now it’s
bringing the strange to your coin collection.

The first drop in this limited-edition series features a 2oz silver antiqued coloured coin
showcasing the series villain Vecna levitating menacingly in the Upside Down surrounded by demogorgons and demobats.

A second coin, a 1oz silver coloured coin features characters Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and
Eleven on their iconic bike ride in the top half, while the bottom half dives into the Upside Down with Will and the ominous presence of a Demogorgon lurking nearby.

These coins are the first and only legal tender collectables under the Stranger Things
licence, making them a must-have for fans and collectors alike.

The Perth Mint General Manager Minted Products, Neil Vance, says the coins are not just
collectables, they are timeless pieces of pop culture.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Netflix and Stranger Things.”

“These coins are crafted with the quality The Perth Mint is known for and we hope fans
love them as much as we do.”

Designed by The Perth Mint’s Stranger Things superfan Sean Rogers, the coins are more
than metal, they’re storytelling in silver.

“Each coin I’ve designed is unique and tells a story,” Sean said.

“As a fan, I wanted to capture the spirit of Stranger Things, the mystery, the nostalgia, the
adventure!

“This project has inspired me to think differently, and it’s been a privilege to bring my creative voice to the coins and packaging.”

— Sean Rogers

With limited mintages these coins are expected to sell out quickly, so rally your party and grab yours in store or online at perthmint.com/strangerthings
