Speaking at the launch, The Perth Mint Deputy CEO Melanie Brown said the anniversary offered an opportunity to honour the Queen’s profound impact and the respect in which she continues to be held.

“Queen Elizabeth II’s life was defined by a deep sense of duty and an unwavering commitment to her people,” Melanie said.

“This collection reflects both the historical importance of her reign and the affection felt for her across generations.”

Struck as legal tender and crafted to the highest numismatic standards, the limited mintage gold and silver coins pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II’s extraordinary 70-year reign — the longest in British history.

Designed Natasha Muhl, the collection draws on rich symbolism from Her Majesty’s life and reign with each piece reflecting The Perth Mint’s commitment to craftsmanship, quality and storytelling through design.

“I know that it is my name attached to the coins, but in order to create these designs I need a huge team behind me,”

“The product development committee, my project manager, our packaging specialist. Everyone in production, our engraving team, our die and polishing team. There are so many people involved to make a project like this work. So when I look at the 3-coin set, what I see is our hard work. All of us doing this together. That’s a lot of people to collaborate and make you know, this beautiful 100 years set. I’m so proud of that.”  Natasha explained.

Across the series, the designs capture her evolving effigy over seven decades, her first visit to Australia in 1954, and enduring emblems of royal tradition, Commonwealth unity and Australia’s national identity.
