Bound to impress

Skipping over scorched red dirt and spinifex, or seeking shade in sweet-scented eucalypt forest, the kangaroo is as unique as the ancient landscapes it symbolises. 
In 2022, the marsupial famed for the way it bounds on elongated hind legs, is portrayed on 1oz silver bullion coins by a representation of Stuart Devlin’s classic ‘red kangaroo’ design.
 

Classic red kangaroo design

The Australian Kangaroo 2022 1oz silver bullion coin portrays a bounding kangaroo surrounded by stylised rays of sunlight. Including the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, the reverse incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark as well as the coin’s weight, purity and 2022 year-date.

Authentication feature

For additional peace of mind, the coin incorporates an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Detectable under a magnifying glass, it is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited

Presentation

Each individual bullion coin is presented inside a protective clear plastic pouch allowing the Kangaroo design to be visible without being opened.
