Story

Auspicious animal symbol

Each animal of the lunar zodiac is said to bestow its dominant characteristics on those born during its rule. Those born under the sign of the Chinese Lunar goat in 2027, 2015, 2003, 1991, 1979 and every 12th preceding year are said to be gentle, creative, and compassionate. Known for their calm nature and resilience, they are often admired for their artistic talents and thoughtful approach to life.

Year of the Goat design

The coin’s reverse features a majestic goat standing proudly on a mountain plain, with rugged terrain and a solitary tree visible in the distance. Included in the design is the Chinese character for ‘Goat’, the inscription ‘GOAT 2027’, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The coin’s obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, as well as the weight, fineness and the monetary denomination.
