Charming Koala

Each coin’s reverse depicts a koala sitting at the base of a eucalyptus tree with another tree in the background. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOALA, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2017 year-date.

The reverse and obverse the 1oz high relief coin is minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
