Australian marsupial

The 2017 Australian Koala design features on this impressive 1oz silver coin struck in brilliant high relief, featuring one of Australia’s most loved marsupials. Sleepy and docile, koalas spend most of their time either resting or eating gum leaves among Australia’s eucalyptus forests.

The coin's reverse depicts a koala sitting at the base of a eucalyptus tree with another tree in the background.  The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOALA, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2017 year-date.
