2018 Australian kookaburra design

This unique proof and bullion set showcases the much-loved ‘king of the Australian bush’ in full flight, its outstretched wings depicted in superb detail on each coin. One of Australia’s best known birds, the kookaburra has a distinctive ‘laugh’ which is often heard at dusk.

The reverse of each coin depicts a kookaburra in full flight, with a detailed moon in the background. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the 2018 year-date.
