Soaring swan

Swans are associated with serenity, grace, and beauty. Majestic in flight and as they glide through water, they live and breed in rivers, estuaries and wetlands throughout Australia.  More usually seen with black plumage, swans can cause quite a stir when the white feathered species is spotted among its antipodean cousins.

Coloured design

The coin’s coloured reverse depicts a magnificent white swan soaring above a picturesque lake set amongst a tranquil countryside. Behind the swan, a brilliant blue sky stretches across the horizon with drifting clouds. Also included in the design is the inscription ‘2026 1oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN’ and a ‘P10’ mintmark, signifying the tenth anniversary of the swan design released by The Perth Mint.
