Native wildlife

This year’s release features a design harking back to Christmas in the bush at a time when settlers used colourful native flora to decorate their homes and verandas.

Festive design

The coin’s reverse coin portrays a delightful garland of iconic flowers including golden coloured wattle, red Waratah and Bottlebrush. Within the arrangement are two Yellow Robins, inquisitive and self-assured birds well-known for their piping pre-dawn calls. Also included in the design is the inscription MERRY CHRISTMAS and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
