75th anniversary

After six bloodstained years of global conflict, World War II finally ended in 1945. Citizens the world over embraced the prospect of peace with joy and relief. Seventy-five years on we remain compelled to commemorate the arrival of peace and remember the sacrifice of those who fought for freedom.

Anniversary design

The coin’s reverse depicts a representation of two wreaths, a central dove motif against a stylised background and a silhouette of soldiers. The inscription ‘75 YEARS END OF WWII’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also included in the design.
