HRH Princess Charlotte
Under the auspices of Clarence House, The Perth Mint is proud to unveil Australia’s official silver commemorative coin in honour of the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
Their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, became proud parents of their second child, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana on 2 May 2015 at St Mary’s Hospital in London, with millions of people sharing in their joy.
Royal design
The reverse of the coin depicts a sculpted portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cradling and gazing lovingly at their newborn baby girl, with HRH Prince George by their side. The image is encircled by a sculpted ribbon tied in a bow. The inscription CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF THE ROYAL BABY, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, are also included in the design.
The HRH Princess Charlotte 2015-dated coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
