Legends come to life

The reverse of the coin features Viking warriors charging maniacally through the water. Each warrior is seen roaring fearsomely to terrify their victims, with their armour and weaponry depicted in extraordinary detail. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Detailed battle design

The coin is struck in high relief to enhance the detailed portrayal of the scene. Its surface has been ‘antiqued’ by hand to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact, reflecting the historic theme of the design. As a result of this treatment the appearance of each coin in the limited mintage may vary.
