The legend

Few voices in rock history are as instantly recognisable or as fiercely celebrated as that of Ronald Belford “Bon” Scott. A charismatic frontman and one of Australia’s greatest musical exports, Bon Scott’s influence continues to reverberate across generations. In 2026, he would have celebrated his 80th birthday, a milestone befitting these unique commemoratives in honour of the legendary singer who helped propel AC/DC onto the world stage.

Precious metal tribute

The front of the minted bar features the Bon Scott logo and crest, which incorporates a lion rampant holding a microphone with its tongue out. Included in the design is the inscription ‘BON SCOTT 80 YEARS’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The back of the bar depicts the LBMA-recognised The Perth Mint logo, along with the purity and weight.

Presentation packaging

The bar is housed in a card displaying the Scott family tartan in black and the official 80th anniversary logo, in which the bar is able to pop in and out easily. The card is packaged inside a sleeve featuring a 1979 photograph of Bon Scott in a representation of a polaroid picture and his signature.
