Story

Australian history

Available in About Uncirculated to Uncirculated condition, the 1912 Perth Mint Gold King George V Sovereign offers collectors an uncommon connection to pre-World War I Australia.

Among the last sovereigns to be used for everyday transactions before the World War I financial crisis removed them from circulation, these historic sovereigns are often well-worn from day-to-day use.

The 1912 releases are particularly sought after by collectors for their connection to the tragedy of the Titanic, which sunk in April 1912.

Timeless design

The coin’s reverse features Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic St George and the Dragon design. Also included is the year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The obverse depicts the portrait of King George V.

Presentation packaging

Displayed within a classic timber case, the coin is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
