Australian animal design

The coin’s reverse portrays coloured images of three Australia’s iconic animals, the koala, kangaroo and emu. Surrounded by confetti, the koala and emu are each carrying wrapped gifts, with the kangaroo holding a birthday cake with three lit candles. The design also includes the inscription ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’, the year-date and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The obverse portrays the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.
