Depository Online - account settings
Now that you have a Perth Mint Depository Online account, you can start trading 24/7 through our portal.
How your account works – the basics
To start buying gold, silver or platinum, you must transfer money to The Perth Mint from your linked bank account. You can only spend what is available in your Depository Online account – we do not extend credit or allow trading on margin.
Money from selling precious metals is always credited to your Depository Online account. If you want the proceeds transferred to your bank account, you must give us instructions by selecting ‘Cash withdrawal’ on the left menu.
How to change account settings
Follow the step-by-step instructions below for how to change some of the basic account details.

Modify your account details
To modify your account details in Depository Online:
- Login to your Depository Online account.
- Select ‘Manage your Account’ in the left column under ‘Account Management’.
- Click on the ‘Account details’.
- Click ‘Modify’ on the details you wish to update and then ‘Save changes’.
For security reasons, you can only modify your email address, mobile and home number and address. If you need to change your address or other details, you will need to contact us.

Change your bank account
To meet the requirements of Australia’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism laws, your Depository Online account is tied to a single bank account.
Money from the sale of precious metal, if not being used to buy more metal, can only go to the bank account tied to your Depository Online account.
To change bank account details, you will need to contact us.

Account security
Your account is protected by your unique username your password.
Protect your password with the same security as you would your bank account. We recommend you:
- Change your password regularly.
- Keep your password confidential.
- Ensure you only login using the below link.
We will never ask you to provide your username or password by phone, email, SMS or any other means.
Only use your username and password to login to your Depository Online account.

Change your password
It’s easy to change your password in Depository Online:
- Login to your Depository Online account.
- Select ‘Change password’ in the left column under ‘Security’.
- Enter your new password twice.
- Click the ‘Change password’ button to save your new password.

Download statements
The Statements menu on the left will list the transactions on your account. Your statements will always be visible, so you can download or view at any time.
- Select ‘Statement’ from the menu bar on the left, under ‘Manage your balance’
- Choose the date range
- Select the ‘Download this statement’ pdf icon link.

Download order invoices
To download your order invoices:
- Select the ‘Order overview’ tab
- You will then see a list of your orders with a ‘download invoice’ pdf icon link for each one.
